DR THIERRY TONDU
Dr. Thierry Tondu graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven in 1997 where he also continued his training in General Surgery.
From 2000 onwards he trained further in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospitals in Ghent, under the leadership of Prof. S. Monstrey and Prof. Ph. Blondeel, where in 2004 he qualified as a Plastic Surgeon.
He completed his education in London at the King Edward VII Hospital, under the leadership of Mr. Barry Jones, where he completed a 4 month training in facial surgery.
Since 2005, Dr Tondu works at the “AZ Heilige Familie” in Reet.
Dr Tondu is affiliated with the University Hospital in Antwerp as a consultant, as well as being a member of the University Breast Clinic, also in Antwerp.
DR FILIP THIESSEN
Dr Filip Thiessen graduated from the University of Antwerp in 2002.
He specialized as a plastic surgeon at the University Hospital in Ghent, under the leadership of Prof. S. Monstrey and Prof. Ph. Blondeel. The training focused on general plastic and aesthetic surgery, including the most innovative and microsurgical techniques in breast reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Thiessen specialized in the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children in London.
Thereafter, he continued to complete his experience in general aesthetic surgery in South America.
During a fellowship in the “Coupure Center” with Dr Tonnard and Dr Verpaele he further specialized in aesthetic facial surgery.
Since 2011, Dr. Thiessen works at the “AZ Heilige Familie” in Reet and in the “Middelheim Hospital” in Antwerp.
Dr. Thiessen is affiliated with the University Hospital in Antwerp as a consultant.
DR INA VRINTS
Dr. Ina Vrints graduated from the University of Leuven in 2009.
She specialized in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at the University Hospital Gasthuisberg in Leuven under the leadership of Prof. J. Vranckx, Dr. M. Vandevoort and Dr. G. Fabre.
Her training, at home and abroad, focused on general plastic and aesthetic surgery and included extensive training in the most innovative of microsurgical and flap dissection techniques in breast reconstructive surgery.
During her fellowship in the “Coupure Center”, with Dr Tonnard and Dr Verpaele she further specialized in aesthetic facial surgery and non-invasive aesthetic techniques (fillers, botox, peelings).
Since December 2015, Dr. Vrints works at the Heilig Hart Hospital in Lier, where she is also attached to the breast clinic.
Dr. Vrints also carries out consultations in the University Hospital of Antwerp.
DR JANA VAN THIELEN
Dr. Jana Van Thielen graduated from the University of Antwerp in 2010.
She specialized in plastic surgery at the ZNA in Antwerp and subsequently at the UZ in Brussel under the leadership of Prof. M. Hamdi. The training focused on general plastic and aesthetic surgery, including the most innovative and microsurgical techniques in breast reconstructive surgery, notably super-microsurgical treatment of lymphedema.
Since November 2016, Dr. Van Thielen is active in the following institutions: ZNA Middelheim, Jan Palfijn, Stuivenberg and Sint Elisabet, where she is also attached to the breast clinic.
Dr. Van Thielen also carries out private consultations in Antwerp and at the following address: Heidestatiestraat 66 bus 2, 2920 Heide-Kalmthout.
ASSISTANT NURSE SUE ABRAHAMS
Sue graduated as a general nurse in West Sussex in 1980, she immediately went on to train as a theatre and recovery room nurse. Over the years she has acquired a vast experience in the operating room, working in the Middle East, Belgium and Paris.
Since 2003, her experience has been concentrated in the field of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery. She played a crucial patient communication role whilst working for The Elyzea and Claris (Aelyzea) Clinics in Belgium, exchanging experiences and working aside some of the most prominent Plastic Surgeons today.
